Water and the human body
It would appear that most people do not drink enough water, the
classic symptoms are:
1. Headaches
2. Poor concentration
3. Tiredness
4. Constipation
We cannot do without water for more than 2-5 days as it accounts
for 60% of our total body weight. Water is absolutely essential
to life and will contribute to you not only feeling good, but
looking good too.
Tips for maintaining proper hydration
Nutritionists recommend that we drink 6-8 glasses of water per
day, that's about 1.5 litres.
Don't wait until you're thirsty to drink water, by the time you
feel thirsty you have probably already lost two or more cups of
your total body water composition.
We lose more water than you'd think just by breathing. The
busier and more active you are the more water we need to drink
to replace lost fluids.
Common colds and flu frequently lead to dehydration so make sure
you have water with you at all times to ensure you remain
hydrated.
